The science, of knowledge, the wisdom of

Today throws a few quotes from Benjamin Hoff's book - "Tao of Pooh." I sincerely recommend it, reading does not take much time, and - if anyone wants - it will draw a lot. First of all - very positive, "solar" reading.

A large part of the book is quite loose reflections on the wisdom, knowledge, or scientific approach:

"Even if the scientific intellect can be useful in the study of certain things, and broader issues are beyond his reach. Taoist Chuang-tse author expressed it in these words:

Well water frog can not imagine the ocean, or a summer insect does not understand the ice. How, then, the researcher may comprehensionTao mean the following? It is limited by his erudition "

Another quote:

"Scientists can be very useful and indispensable in a typically boring and not very funny way. They provide much information. But the point is that there is something more, and this is something more that what life is really "

In another place the author writes about how it differs from the knowledge of wisdom:

"To acquire knowledge - add something every day. To acquire wisdom - something every cast "

These last two sentences are key. I'm sure to be a wise - do not have to have vast knowledge. Increasingly, I notice that it is not about to gain more information, by know more. The trick lies in the fact that the information to good use. Whoever can not do that - he knows a lot, but is it wise? Last quote:

"And the most beautiful thing in the Simplicity is the kind of useful wisdom in what-could-be-here-eat - the wisdom that you can touch"

Seek this wisdom. Not this book, or theoretical, but one that is "here and now." Yes, we can touch it, taste it, feel it for yourself.

We live in an age in which information plays a crucial role. First of all - access to it, and secondly and most importantly - the ability to use it. Today we do not need to know much -just ask Uncle Google. The most important thing we possess is the ability to use that knowledge. Have long gone are the days when we could gain knowledge from various fields and respond to each of the tough questions. Today the world is different, more complex and complicated, but also the acquisition of knowledge itself is no longer much sense. Now focus on other questions - "What I do with that knowledge? How can it be used? And now what? "
