What is wisdom?

Common words we use every day are not so easy to define. Happiness, truth, wisdom, or totally unique word - "I". Written about them a lot of books, and many a still ahead. People devote a lifetime ago, to get to their heart.

These are words of common, yet very important. Not always able to explain what is behind them, but it seems that everyone understands them. Intuitively.

But do we understand the same? And if not, if you understand the different ways? Is, for example, two people can jointly strive for happiness, if what it is, understand otherwise?

Today I decided to look closely to one of Tych important, very common words. I will use here thoughts of others who have long sought a response from me. Objective - to answer the question:

What is wisdom?

Wisdom is Humility and Experience

"Toleration of fools is an indispensable element of wisdom."
- Anthony Eden

"Wisdom is the daughter of experience."
- Leonardo da Vinci

"The wisdom accumulated over the years has taught me that every experience is a new discovery."
- Ansel Adams

"Wisdom comes when we no longer need to do anything"
- Gabriel García Márquez

Wisdom is a Learning and Curiosity

&# 8222; Niedziwienie to nothing, of course, a sign of stupidity, not wisdom. "
- Fyodor Dostoevsky

"With two wise wiser is he who speaks less."
- Anna Kamieńska

"To say it is foolish, silence - cowards, and listening to the wise thing."
- Carlos Ruiz Zafón

"This man is intelligent and is known by his answers. Whether this is wise, after the questions. "
- Naguib Mahfouz

Wisdom is more than knowledge

"You can be a very wise man completely without study."

"Wisdom can not be sent. The knowledge that sage is trying to communicate, always sounds like foolishness. "
- HermAnn Hesse

Wisdom is a Choice and Openness

Wisdom is a magnificent palace without the walls, exposed to all winds, storms, frosts and Skwary.
Stupidity is stuffy and dark hut with thick, tightly stacked walls, not allowing any changes to the atmosphere.
No wonder that most people prefer to live in the hut than in this palace.
- Alexander Swietochowski

And what is your response?
